The Clean Energy Finance Solutions: Central & Eastern Europe provides an informed regional dialogue between business, experts, investors and policymakers on improving investment channels into low carbon power sector development.
The project is run by the Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), with support from local partners, and covers the CEE region with special focus on Poland, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Bulgaria and Romania. It also serves to strengthen the low carbon mission and work of the Corporate Leaders Group in the region.
The project was initially launched by CISL with a high-level Advisory Committee of national academics, regional organisations and senior representatives from finance and industry. The Advisory Committee laid the foundation for an informed regional dialogue between investors, power companies and policymakers on improving investment channels into low carbon power sector development. With their input and expertise from the Regional Centre for Energy Policy Research (REKK) at Corvinus University, Budapest, analysis of the existing power sector constraints and opportunities was carried out and a series of recommendations put forward for the further development of low carbon energy.
