27 and 28 January 2026 - CLG Europe held its annual Strategy Days, providing an important opportunity to pause, reflect and look ahead.
Over two days, CLG member companies met with thought leaders and policymakers from the EU institutions for open and forward-looking discussions, set against a backdrop of geopolitical tension and economic uncertainty. Conversations addressed key priorities for the next EU policy cycle, including industry and electrification, the post-2030 framework, and the role of sustainable finance in driving the transition.
The Strategy Days were focused on concrete outcomes. Members endorsed CLG Europe’s 2026 strategy, identified priority advocacy campaigns and discussed how business leadership can most effectively support ambitious policymaking.
The programme also included a high-level dinner, providing an opportunity for informal and constructive exchanges with Members of the European Parliament from across the political spectrum on Europe’s industrial, energy, security and sustainability agenda.
The event also marked the conclusion of Gonzalo Sáenz de Miera’s term as Chair and Vice Chair over the past four years. CLG Europe expresses its sincere thanks for his leadership, expertise and commitment to the energy and climate agenda, and looks forward to continued collaboration.
