The UK Corporate Leaders Group (CLG UK) provides a strong voice to support UK leadership, nationally and internationally, for the transition to a climate neutral, nature positive and socially inclusive economy. |
About
The CLG UK has frequently defined the UK’s business response to climate change – one of the greatest challenges of our time. Since its founding in 2005 under the leadership of the former HRH The Prince of Wales, CLG UK has helped build consensus across the UK business community in support of climate action. It spoke first and loudest in support of the UK’s Climate Change Act, and now sits at the heart of a growing community of progressive business voices in Europe and around the world.
CLG UK is convened by the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership's world-leading expertise on sustainability and a team that has a deep understanding of the political landscape and how to shape it.
Mission
Our ongoing mission and role is to continue to offer leadership on the UK economy, by convening significant progressive business voices with credibility to show leadership and furnishing them with the intellectual insight and evidence to make the case for action to policy and business audiences.
CLG UK works collaboratively with other actors in the UK. It is well networked internationally, working closely with a broader European group of businesses in CLG Europe and with other business-focused organisations in the We Mean Business coalition, as well as business groups inspired by its work as far afield as Chile and Japan.
