Business leadership for a climate neutral economy

 

The Green Growth Partnership (GGP) is a joint initiative between members of CLG Europe and ministers of the Green Growth Group (GGG). It provides a forum to promote positive exchange between progressive European governments and businesses, with regular involvement of like-minded parliamentarians, and other key stakeholders and opinion formers, determined to support the development of a climate neutral and prosperous Europe.

Event: Save the Date: Green Growth Summit 2022, Monday 10 October, 12.30 - 16.30 (CET) (Hybrid Event)

The Summit will bring together Environment, Climate and Energy Ministers, Members of the European Parliament and business leaders, to discuss how to ensure an ambitious outcome of the negotiations and implementation of the ‘Fit for 55 Package’, in parallel to the REPowerEU Plan, and reflect on how the EU could show international leadership on climate action by accelerating the global energy transition. The event will also mark the CLG Europe’s flagship report launch on ‘From ambition to delivery: How can policy enable and encourage more sustainable choices by business and households in the EU?’ .

Ministers and business set the course towards a climate neutral EU by 2050 at the Green Growth Summit

The 2019 GGP Summit ‘Achieving a prosperous and climate neutral future: From vision to reality’, brought together high-level representatives from EU Member States, including Ministers and State Secretaries, the EU institutions, business and civil society to discuss the drivers and conditions for the transition towards a climate neutral economy by 2050.

3 October 2019 – A new policy briefing from Corporate Leaders Group Europe (CLG Europe), a business leadership group convened by the University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership (CISL), sets out approaches for how business can reduce industrial emissions to net-zero by 2050 and calls on EU policymakers to deliver a clean and circular industrial strategy.
