The aim of this webinar was to examine the challenges of how we transition national infrastructure towards a resilient net zero vision. It took a place-based approach to look at the role of business in accelerating the transition, opportunities for innovation, where new approaches may be required and the policy levers required to release private investment.
The webinar follows CISL’s Future we Want Leadership Discussions, which bring together leading thinkers from business, finance, government and academia, to shine a light on the choices that need to be made, both now and in the long term for a net zero, sustainable future.

Webinar 2: Delivering a resilient, net zero economy: Transforming infrastructure investments to deliver a resilient and net zero world, 18 November 2020
This webinar was delivered as part of the Race to Zero Dialogues that took place from 9 to 19 November 2020. It was one of several dialogues that focussed on the cross-cutting theme of resilience. The Dialogues were ran as part of Race to Zero, a campaign driving global commitments and ambition to limit warming globally to 1.5C. This webinar examined how we transform infrastructure investments globally to deliver a resilient and net zero world. The dialogue explored the role of policy, approaches and investments required globally to support and build resilient supply chains, infrastructure and a thriving natural environment through place-based examples from the UK and other countries.
