Corporate Leaders Groups

Business leadership for a climate neutral economy

March 2021 - Ball Corporation, a leading provider of aluminium packaging for beverage, personal care and household products customers, as well as aerospace and other technologies, is the latest business to join as a full member of both CLG Europe and The Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group (CLG), two cross-sectoral business leadership groups convened across the EU and the UK in support of a climate neutral economy.

Carey Causey, President, Ball Beverage Packaging EMEA said:

“Ball Corporation is committed to a clear and ambitious climate change plan, a plan that has been approved by the Science Based Targets Initiative which aims to limit global warming. We have committed to reduce absolute greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions from business operations as well as value chain GHG emissions per can. In fact, in 2019, Ball was one of the top ten corporate renewable energy buyers in the United States and is now covering all of its operations in the European Union, Serbia and the UK with renewable energy. The Corporate Leaders Groups are providing a unique forum for us to work together with other businesses to support more ambitious climate policy in Europe and in the UK.”

Eliot Whittington, Director of CLG Europe and CLG said:

It’s wonderful to welcome another ambitious business climate leader to the group with Ball Corporation joining both The Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group in the UK and CLG Europe. Ball are a huge champion of corporate climate action and circularity and we look forward to working with them to shape and support climate policy and the transition to carbon neutral materials in Europe and the UK.”
