CLG Europe is preparing to host the Green Growth Summit which will take place on Thursday 3 October 2019 in Luxembourg in the afternoon.

Achieving a prosperous and climate neutral future: From vision to reality

As the need to transition towards a climate neutral economy is gaining  momentum with broad support across society, Europe already has to start setting the course for net zero emissions by 2050 through concrete political and private sector action. Achieving a prosperous and climate neutral future will require economy-wide and society-wide changes, addressing emissions from all economic sectors, and the involvement of all stakeholders.

The Summit brings together high level representatives from EU member states, the European institutions, business and experts to reflect on how the EU can achieve a climate neutral European economy by 2050. Three panel sessions will address the growing momentum behind, and benefits associated with, this systemic transformation; how to move towards a competitive, climate neutral industrial model in the EU; and the investments required to achieve this transition.
