CLG holds informal dinner with the EU Green Growth Platform

The Prince of Wales’s Corporate Leaders Group and the EU Green Growth Platform held an informal dinner on Thursday, 11 May in Bonn at the UN Climate Conference as part of their continued engagement to support ambition to achieve short- and long-term climate goals on a global scale.

The dinner, attended by representatives of the Peruvian and Colombian governments as well as CLG and non CLG member companies, provided an opportunity to take stock of the success of the EU Green Growth Platform and the development of a similar platform in Latin America.

University of Cambridge Institute for Sustainability Leadership and Transparency International co-host an official UNFCCC side event

The event, held at the UN Climate Conference on Friday 12 May., explored ways for non-party stakeholders such as businesses and civil society organisations to enhance collaboration for increased climate action.

Panellists Gonzalo Saenz de Miera (CLG Member, Iberdrola), Jill Duggan (Director, CLG), Dr Archana Godbole (Stakeholder Advisory Network on Climate Finance) and Dr Lisa Elges (Transparency International) gave examples of how they work to share local and global experiences, knowledge, and best practices across regions and networks.

Strategic alliances between corporate and public actors, cross-sector business engagement, as well as international multi-stakeholders networks were some of the ways discussed to enhance collaboration between non-state actors.
