Business leadership for a climate neutral economy

Webinar cover

Watch the webinar launch of CLG Europe's latest report: Working towards a climate neutral Europe: Jobs and skills in a changing world. The flagship publication, written in cooperation with Cambridge Econometrics, looks at the implications of the transition to a climate neutral economy for jobs and skills.

Hosted by MEP Pilar del Castillo Vera, the webinar will look at how policymakers and businesses can anticipate, adapt and harness mega-trends including globalisation, technological change, resource scarcity and demographic changes, in order to create jobs and increase competitiveness while putting the EU on track to climate neutrality.

The research was completed before the tragic impacts of the current Covid-19 pandemic and healthcare crisis became apparent in Europe. The full extent of the economic and social impact will take many months and even years to play out, but one key area of impact is clearly on employment. The report’s findings and recommendations, which examine the medium and long-term impact of the mega-trends and the essential move to climate neutrality, can help provide direction on how to focus policy and financial interventions to develop a resilient and sustainable economy and bring forward a skilled and competitive workforce.

The session will end with a Q&A and we invite participants to submit questions either on registration or during the session.
