On 12 September 2024, CLG Europe’s Materials and Products Taskforce will organise a hybrid event at the European Parliament, hosted by the MEP Sara Matthieu, to launch the new report from the Materials & Products Taskforce, “No Time to Waste: Driving the EU’s resilience and competitiveness through a circular economy,” authored in association with the Wuppertal Institute .

This event is dedicated to the launch of the Corporate Leaders Group Europe (CLG Europe) and We Mean Business Coalition (WMBC) report " The Green Deal and Beyond: A Business Agenda for a Sustainable, Competitive and Resilient Europe ".

Ahead of the EU elections, we expect circular economy to be a key area of interest over the next five years. This event will explore what role the circular economy should play in European Politics.

The high-profile event is set to take place on Thursday, 7th December, from 12:30 to 14:30 CET at the European Parliament. The invitation-only gathering will explore the role of the Nature Restoration Law in addressing today’s climate and nature crisis, as well as providing tangible examples of how nature and biodiversity projects can support the creation of high quality jobs and the emergence of new economic opportunities.

On 17 October 2023, as part of London Circular Economy Week, CLG Europe’s Materials and Products Taskforce hosted a webinar setting out EU Circular Economy Policy.

The 2023 Green Growth Summit will bring together high-level Member State representatives from the Green Growth Group, the EU institutions, and business. The Summit will mark the celebration of the 10-year anniversary of the Green Growth Partnership (GGP).
