18 February 2021 – CLG Europe Director Eliot Whittington sent a letter to the Ministers of the Competitiveness Council including a number of recommendations to better ensure the Recovery and Resilience Plans and the EU industrial policy are aligned with EU climate targets and the Green Deal growth strategy.

Director of the Corporate Leaders Groups joins distinguished leaders and peers from around the globe in signing a letter urging President Joe Biden to take bold climate action

25 January 2021 – Eliot Whittington, Director of the Corporate Leaders Groups, has joined 153 leaders from across the world in signing a letter urging US President Joe Biden to be the President “who will lead humanity off the cliff-edge” of the climate crisis and who will take bold climate action to build back better. European Corporate Leaders Group welcomes EUCO adoption of net EU 2030 climate target of at least 55%

11 December 2020 – On the eve of the fifth anniversary of the Paris Agreement EU leaders have agreed a 2030 emissions cut of at least 55%, delivering a significant step forward on climate action. This welcome move comes after the European Corporate Leaders Group coordinated a letter of 200 signatories from the business and finance sectors calling for EU ambition on its near-term emissions pledge to be raised.
