New report explores how business and government can work together to deliver more resilient communities

11 November 2021 - As COP26 focuses on the built environment, the UK Corporate Leaders Group (CLG UK) launches its new report highlighting the role and interaction of business and policy in supporting resilient places.

CLG Europe letter to the Competitiveness Council highlights the role it can play through supporting Industrial policy during the Fit for 55 negotiations.

18 October 2021 – CLG Europe Director Eliot Whittington sent a letter to the Ministers of the Competitiveness Council including a number of recommendations on how the Fit for 55 package can strengthen its approach with Industry.

9 August 2021 - Today the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) has published the first of its three-part 6th Assessment Report (AR6). The report is the biggest update of the state of knowledge on climate science since the release of the IPCC’s 5th Assessment Report in 2014.

27 July 2021 - After a rapid reaction to the Fit for 55 Package, CLG Europe carried out an initial analysis of the climate and energy legislation proposals against the 10 principles contained in the business letter addressed to EU leaders.

21 July 2021 - Organised with the support of the German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety (BMU), this virtual event was an opportunity for representatives of the Green Growth Group, Members of the European Parliament and business to provide initial reactions to the publication of the Fit for 55 Package by the European Commission on 14 July, exchange perspectives and formulate recommendations on the way forward to achieve climate objectives and the transition towards a prosperous, competitive and climate neutral Europe.
