Six months out from COP26 new business group alliance launches as more than 100 big UK businesses sign up to accelerate Race to Zero

29 April 2021 - The UK Business Group Alliance for Net Zero (BGA) formally launches six months before COP26 with the aim of increasing ambition to achieve a net zero UK by 2050 at the latest. The alliance draws together some of the most ambitious and proactive business groups and organisations to work and think together, working collaboratively with the UK Government and other stakeholders.

CLG Europe open letter to the Competitiveness Council underlines support for green recovery and industrial policy aligned with EU climate targets

18 February 2021 – CLG Europe Director Eliot Whittington sent a letter to the Ministers of the Competitiveness Council including a number of recommendations to better ensure the Recovery and Resilience Plans and the EU industrial policy are aligned with EU climate targets and the Green Deal growth strategy.

Director of the Corporate Leaders Groups joins distinguished leaders and peers from around the globe in signing a letter urging President Joe Biden to take bold climate action

25 January 2021 – Eliot Whittington, Director of the Corporate Leaders Groups, has joined 153 leaders from across the world in signing a letter urging US President Joe Biden to be the President “who will lead humanity off the cliff-edge” of the climate crisis and who will take bold climate action to build back better.
