The 2019 GGP Summit ‘Achieving a prosperous and climate neutral future: From vision to reality’, brought together high-level representatives from EU Member States, including Ministers and State Secretaries, the EU institutions, business and civil society to discuss the drivers and conditions for the transition towards a climate neutral economy by 2050.

December 2017 – The EU GGP secretariat’s work on long-term planning began ahead of COP22 in Marrakech where it released a policy briefing title ‘Future Proofing: Sustainable plans for prosperous economies’.

December 2017 – CISL, in partnership with the EU Green Growth Platform and the CLG, held a closed-doors dinner event on Tuesday 14 November in Bonn during COP23.

14 March 2018 – On Monday 05 March, 14 Environment Ministers forming the Green Growth Group published a statement on the importance of mainstreaming climate in the future EU budget after 2020 (the Multiannual Financial Framework - MFF).

26 September 2018 – The Green Growth Platform will host its 2018 Summit on Monday 8 October in Luxembourg ahead of the European Environment Council meeting on 9 October.

16 October 2018 – The 2018 GGP Summit, ‘From Here to 2050: taking the long-term view for innovation and transformation’ brought together over 80 Ministers, policy makers, key thinkers, and business leaders, alongside EU Commission officials and Members of the European Parliament, to take stock and discuss the opportunities, challenges and next steps to building an economy fit for the 21st century.
